  • One litre

  • Half a litre

  • One-quarter of a litre

  • Three-quarters of a litre

  • One third of a litre

  • Two-thirds of a litre

On the page that you set out yesterday, add the measurements in grams that you have found today in the

column on the right. Have a look at my work if you are not sure and check your answers afterwards.

Write a short description about how you made a container yesterday that can hold 100ml. Draw a picture of it in your main lesson book.

You will need a measuring container that can hold 1 litre and some water. Use the 100ml container to help you answer the following maths questions. Use your 100ml container to add or take away water to help you find your answers. Write these out in your main lesson book.

100ml x _______ = 1 litre

1L – 200ml = ________

800ml – 500ml = __________

300ml + 300ml = __________

600ml + 100ml = __________

700ml + 200ml = __________

Even if you are able to solve these questions without measuring water, I’d like you to measure the water anyway so that you can see what the sums look like.

Write out and complete the following sentences in your main lesson book. When filling in the blanks, you do not need to write the full words, you can use shorthand instead. For example, instead of writing centimetre, you can write cm.
